The article “Irregular adoptions in the Ethiopian-Spanish context: Strategies to redress the adoption triad” has been published in the journal Childhood, written by Aranzazu Gallego Molinero, María del Valle Medina Rodríguez, and Chandra Kala Clemente Martínez. The article is based on the experiences of Spanish adoptive families, offering evidence of irregularities and other abuses documented by these adoptive families during their “search for origins” or reconnection with the biological families of their children. The article argues that, in the absence of governmental responses, these searches and contacts within the adoption triad constitute informal reparative initiatives undertaken by Spanish adoptive families.
