Physical Access

All areas of the building are wheelchair accessible.
There is an adapted bathroom.
A quiet space will be available throughout the day. Please note that due to the venue layout, this space may occasionally be used for catering and breaks.
Reserved seating is available upon request.

Auditory Accessibility

An American Sign Language (ASL) interpreter will be provided.
Please note that the venue does not have a loop-hearing system.

Visual Accessibility

The in-person portion of the symposium will take place in a gallery venue with artificial lighting and minimal natural light.
We will not be using fluorescent lighting. If you are sensitive to light, please consider bringing items that help reduce discomfort (e.g. tinted lenses, sunglasses, or a hat).
Areas with natural light will be available for breaks and lunch and can be accessed throughout the day.

How to Get There

Foto Colectania

The Freenow app offers adapted taxis (as well as non-adapted taxis).

Single bus tickets (1 zone) can be purchased directly on the bus using a contactless bank card and cost €2.65. They can only be used once.

Single metro tickets (1 zone) can be purchased at any station from the designated machines. They cost €2.65 and allow transfers to other metro lines as long as you don’t exit the station.

To access the accessible metro carriage, position yourself at either end of the platform.

From the Airport to Foto Colectania

Option 1 – Aerobus + Bus (wheelchair accessible)

Step 1A: If you’re at Terminal C, take the A2 Aerobus Pl. Catalunya – Fontanella. Get off at Gran Via – Plaça Espanya.
Step 1B: If you’re at Terminal 2B, take Bus 46 Pl. Espanya to Gran Via – Química.
Step 1C: If you’re at Terminal 1, take Bus A1 Pl. Catalunya – Andana Central. Get off at Gran Via – Plaça Espanya.
Once at Plaça Espanya, take Bus H16 Fòrum Campus Besòs. Get off at Passeig Lluís Companys – Parc de la Ciutadella.
Walk or roll for two minutes to Fundació Foto Colectania.

Option 2 – Aerobus + Metro (not wheelchair accessible)

From Terminal 1, take Bus A1 Pl. Catalunya – Andana Central. Get off at Gran Via – Plaça Espanya.
Take Metro Line L1 Fondo to Arc de Triomf.
Walk 11 minutes to Fundació Foto Colectania.

Option 3: Taxi. Approximate price: €40.

From Plaça Catalunya to Foto Colectania

Option 1 – Bus (wheelchair accessible)

Take Bus H16 Fòrum Campus Besòs at the Pl Catalunya – Portal de l’Àngel stop. Get off at Passeig Lluís Companys – Parc de la Ciutadella.
Walk or roll 2 minutes to Fundació Foto Colectania.

Option 2 – Metro (wheelchair accessible)

Take the elevator to reach Metro Line L1 Fondo to Arc de Triomf.
Walk or roll 11 minutes to Fundació Foto Colectania.

Option 3 – Taxi. Price: €23.06.

From Barcelona-Sants to Foto Colectania

Option 1 – Train (wheelchair accessible, though often delayed and not especially friendly)

Take the Rodalies train. You can choose R1 Maçanet-Massanes-Mataró, R3 Puigcerdà, or R4 Manresa. Get off at Barcelona – Arc de Triomf.
Walk or roll 11 minutes to Fundació Foto Colectania.

Option 2 – Bus (wheelchair accessible)

Exit the station and take Line D40 Pl. Espanya at the Josep Tarradellas – Numància stop. Get off at Diputació – Vilamarí.
Walk or roll 4 minutes to the Gran Via – Plaça Espanya stop. Take Bus H16 Fòrum Campus Besòs. Get off at Passeig Lluís Companys – Parc de la Ciutadella.
Walk or roll two minutes to Fundació Foto Colectania.
