Under the motto “Fostering Bonds: A Transdisciplinary Approach”, this first conference brought together specialists committed to improving perinatal care for patients with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions and their families. Carolina Remorini (AFIN-UAB) participated in the inaugural roundtable: “Una aproximación a los cuidados paliativos perinatales desde la bioética y la antropología” (“An Approach to Perinatal Palliative Care from Bioethics and Anthropology”) alongside Montserrat Esquerda, a pediatrician and bioethics specialist, and journalist Espartac Peran. Together, they engaged in a dialogue in which, from each of their perspectives, they debated how to better understand the care needs and expectations of families and children in these moments of high vulnerability, and how to support them while respecting diversity.
